About this item
A 1" PEX B barb x 3/4" female NPT adapter connects a 1" PEX run to a 3/4" male-threaded part such as a valve, pump or water heater connection. An independent eBay seller lists 25 new XFITTING adapters in lead free brass for $53.99.
How do I install a 1" PEX B x 3/4" FNPT adapter?
Crimp or clamp the 1" PEX onto the barb end. Then thread the 3/4" female NPT end onto a male pipe thread.
- Seal the male threads with thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the job.
- Tighten the threaded side before you attach the PEX so the pipe doesn't twist.
- The title doesn't list rings or clamps, so check the listing to see if they're included.
- Threaded joints near water heaters may have code requirements. Check locally.
