About this item
This 1/2 inch copper female adapter set gives you ten fittings, each with a sweat (C) socket on one end and female NPT threads on the other. They bridge soldered 1/2 inch copper tube and male-threaded parts like valves, hose bibs or threaded nipples.
How do you join a sweat x FNPT adapter without damaging the threads?
Solder the copper side first and let it cool. Then thread on the male part with tape or pipe dope. If you heat the fitting after threading, you can cook the sealant.
- Count: 10 pieces, enough for several fixture connections.
- Size: 1/2 inch copper x 1/2 inch FNPT.
- Potable water: look for a lead-free marking in the listing if the adapters will go on drinking water lines.
- Permits: follow local code for supply line work.
