NIBCO W-8004 633W Copper Pressure Union 3/4 in x 7/8 OD, 10 Pack

About this item

Water heaters, pumps and softeners all need to come out eventually, and a 3/4 copper pressure union lets you remove them without cutting pipe. This 10-pack of NIBCO W-8004 633W unions is sized 3/4 nominal, 7/8 OD. It's listed new by an independent eBay seller.

What does 3/4 x 7/8 OD mean on a copper union?

Both numbers describe the same size. 3/4 inch nominal copper tube measures 7/8 inch on the outside, so this union fits standard 3/4 water tube.

• Ends: the title doesn't spell out the connection type. Confirm in the photos that both ends are solder cups before planning a sweat joint.
• Seal: keep the union seat clean and don't overheat it while soldering.
• Assembly: slide the nut onto the tube before making up the joints.
• 10-pack: useful truck stock for equipment change-outs.
