5 Ft Copper Tubing 5/8" OD, 0.562" ID, Soft Seamless ACR Coil

About this item

5/8 inch OD copper tubing in a 5 ft soft, seamless ACR coil is a useful length for short refrigerant line repairs, line set patches and HVAC service calls. The listing gives a 0.562" inside diameter. That works out to a wall of about 0.031", calculated from the stated OD and ID.

Is 5/8 inch OD copper tubing the same as 5/8 nominal plumbing pipe?

No. ACR tube is sized by its outside diameter, so this coil matches 5/8" OD refrigeration fittings. It won't match 5/8" nominal water pipe fittings, which are a larger size.

• The soft temper is good for flaring, swaging or brazing into ACR fittings.
• Cut it with a tube cutter and deburr before you make any joint.
• The listing doesn't mention end caps or a nitrogen charge, so ask the seller if your job needs clean, sealed tube.
• Refrigerant work can require certification or a permit where you live.
