Libra Supply 4 inch, 4'' Lead Free All Sweat Brass Ball Valve, C x C, 600 WOG

About this item

Libra Supply's 4" lead free brass ball valve is all sweat, copper x copper (C x C), and rated 600 WOG. A quarter turn takes it from fully open to closed, which makes it handy as a main shutoff or isolation valve on big copper lines.

How do you sweat a 4" brass ball valve?

Open the valve fully before heating so the seats aren't pressed against the ball. Clean and flux both ends, and spread the heat evenly. At 4", many plumbers use a larger torch tip or more than one torch. Follow the maker's guidance on heat.

• Ends: C x C sweat, for 4" copper tube.
• Rating: 600 WOG, per the title.
• Lead free: for potable lines. Confirm your local code.
• Support: brace the pipe on both sides of a valve this size.
