Libra Supply 2-1/2 inch, 2-1/2'', 2-1/2-inch Copper Coupling No Stop C x C

About this item

When a section of large copper line fails, a 2-1/2 inch copper coupling without a stop can slide fully over one pipe end. You set the new piece in place, then slide the coupling back to center over the joint. This Libra Supply coupling is C x C (cup by cup) for sweat soldering and is sold new as a single piece.

Why choose a no-stop coupling over a standard one?

A standard coupling has an internal dimple or ridge that stops the tube halfway. Without that stop, the coupling can travel along the pipe, which is what makes repairs in fixed piping possible.

• Mark the centerline on the tube so the coupling sits evenly across the joint.
• Large diameters soak up heat, so you may need a bigger torch tip or a brazing setup.
• Clean and flux the full length the coupling will cover.
• Commercial repairs may require a permit and inspection.
